The AZ80 is the new jewel in the crown of the Technics true wireless range. Specifically, these high-end headphones incorporate a new 10mm aluminum diaphragm to improve sound, broadening the response of high and low frequencies without distorting the audio output. For their part, the AZ60M2 has 8mm diaphragms.

In addition, the AZ80 and AZ60M2’s unique cabinet design houses an acoustic control chamber that optimizes airflow to enhance vocals, deliver powerful bass, and smooth treble to create a dynamic range of sound with less distortion. This technology combines a digital software filter with a feedback microphone to suppress noise coming from outside the headphones, while analog ones suppress noise from inside the headphones. In this way, this cutting-edge solution allows you to adjust noise suppression levels according to the environment and sound processing without losing nuance.

Both new models also feature unique ambient sound modes that can be set to Natural Ambient or Attention mode. The first picks up all the surrounding noise, allowing you to listen to music or talk on the phone while paying attention to your surroundings. The second, on the other hand, captures sounds in the frequency range of the human voice, a fact that ensures the consumer can hear human voices close to them, such as announcements at the airport or the voice of a relative at home, while minimizing other unwanted external noise.

Two microphones

The EAH-AZ80 and EAH-AZ60M2 are equipped with two MEMS microphones that effectively isolate spoken words and reduce ambient noise using beamforming technology, and two other voice-detection microphones that help make phone conversations more comfortable and fluid.

You can only use one

The AZ80 and AZ60M2 simplify your daily use by being able to operate freely using only the left or right earphone. From the Technics Audio Connect app, you can freely adjust the volume, ambient mode, or noise canceling function. In this way, the possibility of configuring the headphones to suit the user greatly expands the customization options of the solutions and facilitates their daily use.

With its long-lasting battery, the EAH-AZ80 and EAH-AZ60M2 keep you going with 7.5 hours of music playback without noise cancellation and with an additional 25 hours of power with the charging base. Additionally, both models allow up to 4 hours of calls using JusMyVoice and Active Noise Cancellation functions.

In turn, they have a sensor that stops playback when the headphones are removed from the ear and automatically resumes playback when they are returned, in order to avoid unintended playback and unexpected power consumption. Both models are IPX4 water resistant.

Another difference between the two models, in addition to the different size of the diaphragms, is that the AZ80 can charge its case using a wireless induction base.
